The Digital Public Library of America connects people to the riches held within America’s libraries, archives, museums, and other cultural heritage institutions.
This program serves as a concept prototype for searching multiple digital library collections. The end product will search open access libraries and subscription sources as a meta search of e-book collections across libray systems.
Open Library is an open, editable library catalog, building towards a web page for every book ever published.
This project began with the need for a more seamless way to search for borrowable e-books and e-audiobooks across multiple library collections and digital resouce subscriptions. The desired outcome is a one-stop solution to view freely accessible e-book and e-audiobook availability throughout specific regional libraries and openly available collections.
